I did this months ago but never posted it here for some reasons.
This is actually an alternate version of the original artwork. I can't give out much details about the whole thing at the moment as the original is intended as a present for someone. In this version I wanted the horse to look like mother-of-pearl but he turned out just greyish.

I'm posting this version here because I'd like some critics on the horse anatomy as I'm unfamilliar with it. I haven't attempted an anatomically-correct horse since I left college. So... don't be afraid to point out any weaknesses.

Wacom Graphire3 6x8 and Photoshop CS - About 20 hours

ohlala, c'est terriblement beau.
Le background est vraiment delicieux. J,adore les vagues et les nuages. Les empreintes du cheval sur le sable de la plage sont vraiment reussit, bravo!


Pour les critiques.. l'anatomie m'a l'air très bien. Je suis pas une pro des cheveux, mais la bouche me semble un peu longue/grosse et l'oeil un peu trop reculé, mais sinon c'est fantastique. j'aime beaucoup ton shading. chapeau!

Sans être pro des chevaux ni rien, j'ai l'impression qu'il est trop "court", enfin, le corps est un peu tassé, et la patte arrière gauche à l'air trop é;paisse par rapport à l'arrière droite.

Il est malgré tout très beau (et le fond aussi :) ).
Un peu de rose/vert, pour le rendre plus nacré ?

I agree with Naff in that the mouth/snout seems a tad long, but other than that, it's rather lovely. I love the detail of the sand and sea- whomever this is for is bond to love it.

Oh god, the water is gorgeous. So much detail and texture, I love it.

As for the anatomy, like others have said the 'snout' on the horse seems a little long, but nothing else seems really obvious to me.

wow, simplement superbe! J'adore ton background, avec tous les petits détails dans les vagues! :D

Pour ton anatomie de cheval, je le trouve bien beau, mais la patte arrière gauche (celle la plus foncée) me semble trop longue. À part ça, super! :#1:
