EDIT2: Many, MANY thank for all the favs and comments on this! I mainly did this tutorial for the occasionnal requests from my DevWatchers and never expected such an interest!
This was a pretty good tut...not as good as your bird one. It is almost too simple. You went from a rough sketch to a colored version in one step. Things like explaining the shading would help many people. But overall a good newbie-wing artist's tut. Thanks for submitting. Oh and the bat blackwork in the beginning rock!
I've personally have always had bad issues with texturing as well as the first phalange. I don't think I've ever really included it but I will now because I know.
BTW, I noticed your new signature thing... are you going to start up your own graphic arts company? Because, that'd be awesome if you did.

"Oh, the joys of Scully/Mulder....Actually, just the joys of Mulder, period. If I wasn't the soul mate of Severus Snape, I might have a crush on the poor guy. Hm. I've just reread that statement, and am slightly concerned with my taste in men."
Very useful, I think I'll use this next time I draw bat wings! Though I'm not too sure why there would be scales on a dragon wing? Seems like that's weigh the wing down too much and would just be annoying rather than useful. Or maybe I'm just thinking thicker scales rather than thinner ones.

Does the structure of the fingers change with different types of bat?
